The Sail & Juxon Street development has brought 70 new affordable homes to the borough of Lambeth.
The scheme was developed by Pocket Living who work with local authorities to create affordable, good quality housing in urban areas and help first-time buyers get on the property ladder.
The scheme was designed by HKR Architects who specified expanded mesh cladding on the exterior façade of the five-storey building. The panels were designed and manufactured with two different open area specifications, which created the contrasting aesthetic.
The mesh allows the residents to keep their privacy from the adjacent tube line whilst not blocking the view from the front nor preventing light flow onto the balconies.
