Not just a pretty face: using mesh for a greener world

The 137 year old Cadisch Group is formed of 3 different yet closely associated divisions joined by a common knowledge and understanding of design, engineering, metals and finishing. These companies supply a diverse range of different industries.

Cadisch Precision Meshes design and manufacture specialist products for the filtration and separation of industrial process systems.

Phos are designers and manufacturers of LED luminaires  for the high end residential and commercial sectors.

Cadisch MDA are designers, and suppliers of metals and meshes for architecture and interior design.

Many of these sales contribute towards a greener and more eco-friendly environment and here’s how….

Our sister company ‘Cadisch Precision Meshes’ (CPM) plays a very important role within the preservation of the environment.  Their range of perforated metal, expanded metal and woven wire mesh can be used for all types of filtration and separation purposes – a key component to minimizing negative environmental impact through a host of methods. The supply of filtration meshes reaches over 1000 customers worldwide and their specialist filtration mesh is used continuously in waste water, chemicals, food, aggregates and plastic recycling / treatment plants to name a few…

Furthermore, the perforated and woven wire mesh products are widely used within the agricultural industry. The diversity of their range means they can supply any type of meshes for horticultural equipment, food processing screens, sieves, guards, racks, cages, grilles and gates.

Additionally, almost all of our products have been used for protecting the environment. The materials and profiles available in our product range can be used as fencing to couple as both a stylish and sturdy option for protecting a space. This has been considered the most effective method for protecting vulnerable parts of the ecosystem and it’s wildlife.

Our Meshtec and Fuzetec products can also be used as both practical and attractive structures in the garden (or any outside space with plants). This ‘vertical green’ solution to vertical gardening, trellising and keeping billowing plants contained has so many advantages whilst maintaining beauty. An increasingly popular application for our products has been for smart vegetable patches. Some of the advantages include:

The structure keeps the plants in check

It’s waterproof

It can keep animals out

Creating growing space that would otherwise be impossible

Strength and stability for the plants

(PIC) The open area of the expanded metal allows plants to grow in an urban area - this is a great opportunity to replace parts of the natural environment that are sacrificed in the city.

The production of many of our products respect eco-compatibility goals whilst carefully considering the environment. For example, our Meshtec products are manufactured with no pollutants in the production process and the expansion process creates no waste. There are 3 photovoltaic sites (with 9,000 m2) that are able to obtain from the sun about 95% (ninety five percent) of all the electricity that it needs every year for the production, lighting, and consumption of the offices, reducing the electricity obtained from hydrocarbons by the national supplier to only five percent. This allows us to avoid emissions into the air of about 23 (twenty-three) tones carbon dioxide every twelve months. Similarly, our Perftec products are environmentally friendly since the metal waste created through perforation is recyclable.

An important fact is that our metal panels are easy to dispose of and are 100% recyclable. This is a critical feature of our product range. We carefully avoid offering products that contain any plastic.
