Grand Designs Staircase

Perftec
A unique, feature staircase designed for a residential property featured on Grand Designs

Details

The steel staircase has been sculptured from our Perftec range, which has been featured on Channel 4’s latest series of Grand Designs (S17, E2).

The staircase was fabricated from specially perforated and laser cut mild steel, upholding its tensile strength, whilst the treads are fixed to the wall without stringers to create a floating aesthetic. Its perforated design allows light to flow freely through the area to form interesting shadows on the surrounding walls. When standing from afar, you’re able to see straight through the staircase and this adds an element of openness to the entire space.

Mesh Type: Perftec

Material: Mild Steel

Fabricators: Design + Weld

Location: Muswell Hill

what our clients say

"The perforated staircase is the best thing about the house. It is a piece of art and throws fantastic shades on the wall. I love that it brings light into the house even on a dark day."
Penny Talelli, Client
"The perforated balustrades supplied by Cadisch MDA appear as though they've been made up with different panels when in fact they're one complete piece with different holes. This makes our part much easier and provides greater accuracy, as we don't have to play around with different panels."
